Subaru of America reports best February sales ever

(March 4, 2020) Subaru of America, Inc. has reported 51,695 vehicle sales for February, a 5.3 percent increase compared to February 2019, and the best February in the history of the company. The automaker also reported year-to-date sales of 97,980, a 3.8 percent gain compared to the same period in 2019.

February marked the 72nd consecutive month of 40,000+ vehicle sales for the automaker. Forester achieved its best February ever with 16,458 vehicle sales.

Dodge/SRT welcomes more enthusiasts into 'The Brotherhood of Muscle'

Starting March 3, customers across the United States who purchase any 2020 Dodge Challenger or Dodge Charger model will get a $10 per horsepower cash allowance through Dodge Power Dollars 2020. They also now have a chance to share their stories in a new social series called #TheMuscleBehindUs.

Mercedes-Benz introduces updated E-Class sedan and wagon

(March 4, 2020) STUTTGART, Germany — The Mercedes-Benz E-Class sedan and wagon have undergone a comprehensive update for the 2021 model year as the first representatives of this model series. Both models will arrive in European showrooms this summer. The sedan and All-Terrain will arrive in the U.S. this fall. The long-wheelbase version of the Saloon (China), as well as the Coupé and Cabriolet, will follow soon thereafter.

McLaren reveals 'dynamically advanced' 765LT

BMW remains largest U.S. automotive exporter by value

(March 3, 3030) SPARTANBURG, S.C. — BMW Manufacturing in South Carolina led the nation in automotive exports by value for the sixth consecutive year, according to data released by the U.S. Department of Commerce. During 2019, the South Carolina plant exported 246,014 BMW X models with a total export value of approximately $9.6 billion.

Electrify America invests $2 million in Envision Solar stations in California

(March 2, 2020) RESTON, Va. — Electrify America is investing $2 million in solar-powered electric vehicle (EV) charging stations in rural California that are not tied to the electrical grid. The investment will expand access to sustainable EV charging to drivers in rural areas, including the Central, Coachella, and Imperial Valleys.

GM to add more than 1,200 jobs at Lansing area assembly plants

(March 2, 2020) LANSING, Mich. — General Motors is adding more than 1,200 jobs at its Lansing manufacturing operations to meet customer demand for popular mid-size SUVs and to support the launch of two all-new Cadillac sedans.

Lansing Grand River Assembly will add a second shift in General Assembly, resulting in the plant adding almost 400 employees to support the launch of the Cadillac CT4 and CT5. Lansing Delta Township Assembly will add a third shift to support production of its popular Chevrolet Traverse and Buick Enclave. Approximately 800 employees will be added.
