Mid-60s Chevy pickup rusts away



This mid-60s C10 Chevrolet pickup was discovered rusting away in a small eastern North Carolina town. The 1960 model year introduced the third generation pickup that went through the 1966 model year. The base engine introduced in 1963 was a 3.8-liter140-horsepower inline 6. An optional 165-horsepower 4.8-liter six was available. Acura NSX orders begin with launch of online vehicle configurator

(February 25, 2016) The 2017 Acura NSX online configurator launched today at NSX.Acura.com allows future NSX owners and enthusiasts to virtually customize their new Acura NSX supercar. The launch of the online configurator coincides with the start of customer ordering at authorized NSX retailers across the country.

Once prospective owners have configured their NSX online, they can request a one-on-one consultation with an authorized NSX retailer as the first step in the ordering process. Customers and enthusiasts can also share their custom configured NSX via social media channels.

Takata may have to recall additional 70 to 90 million more airbag inflators

(February 24, 2016) U.S. auto safety regulators are examining whether an additional 70 million to 90 million Takata Corp. airbag inflators should be recalled because they may endanger drivers, according to a person with knowledge of the matter, according to Reuters news service.

BMW will show M760i xDrive and ALPINA B7 xDrive in New York

(February 24, 2016) NEW YORK — Kicking off the 100 year anniversary of the BMW Group, the BMW M760i xDrive and BMW ALPINA B7 xDrive will make their North American debuts at the 2016 New York International Auto Show on March 23 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in Manhattan. The BMW lineup will also feature the BMW M2, BMW X4 M40i, BMW 7 Series, BMW X1, BMW 330e, BMW i8 and others.

Making its North American debut, the 2017 BMW M760i xDrive integrates the first 12-cylinder gasoline engine with M Performance TwinPower Turbo technology, resulting in a blend of performance, efficiency and comfort.

Aston Martin announces new investments in the UK

(February 24, 2016) Aston Martin today announced significant new investments towards its long-term future in the United Kingdom. The company confirmed that St Athan in Glamorgan has been chosen as the location for its second manufacturing facility.

With the decision to build the new crossover vehicle in Wales, the company additionally confirmed that production of next-generation sports cars would be focused at its headquarters and manufacturing centre in Gaydon, Warwickshire. Production of the recently announced all-electric RapidE is also to be located at Gaydon, starting in 2018.

Reports say Honda has engine problem with some new Civics

(February 23, 2016) Honda is preparing a recall for the 2016 Civic compact in the U.S. and has ordered dealers to stop selling some versions of the car, months after beginning sales of the crucial new model, according to news reports.

According to a Honda spokesman, the automaker issued a stop-sale notice to dealers in late January. Blogs including Jalopnik and Autoblog earlier this month cited a dealer service bulletin posted on the enthusiast site CivicX.com that said about 34,000 Civics were involved and the fault was with missing or mis-set piston rings that could cause engines to stall or fail.
