(April 28, 2023) WASHINGTON, D.C. — A lower oil price is causing pump prices to fall, with the national average for a gallon of regular gasoline dropping a nickel since last week to hit $3.63. “The national average reached $3.68 last week, and that might be the peak price for now,” said Andrew Gross, AAA spokesperson. “As long as the oil cost keeps wobbling around the low to mid $70s per barrel, drivers will benefit when they fuel up.”

Sitting in the middle of the non-AMG EQE sedan lineup, however, is an electric E-Class that leans more to the practical side of the German automaker’s EV products. That would be the 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQE 350 4MATIC that serves as the subject of this review.

(April 26, 2023) Even though I’ve personally never owned one I’ve always fancied myself a “Porsche guy” – as distinct from being a “Mercedes guy.” Although I’ve driven and reviewed plenty of both over the years, there’s something about the image of the cars I could only imagine myself driving — the Benz is a bit, you know, garish. The AMG SL has not changed my mind on this matter, exactly. But man, on man, what a magnificently brutal, heart-pounding thrill ride.

The ultimate solution to impaired driving is in reach

(April 24, 2023) Making roads safer often involves doing a lot of little things. There’s no single reason crashes occur and no single way to protect people from death and injury. When we discuss a given solution — whether it’s in the realm of vehicle technology, road design or enforcement — we are usually talking about shaving off a few hundred fatalities from the annual toll at best.
