(April 30, 2023) When Ford resurrected the iconic Bronco brand for 2021 — first with the compact crossover Bronco Sport followed shortly thereafter by the real deal Ford Bronco 4X4 challenger to the Jeep Wrangler — it channeled the historic Bronco that dated back to 1966 when it first launched the rugged off-roader.

Pump prices falling; down a nickel in a week

(April 28, 2023) WASHINGTON, D.C. — A lower oil price is causing pump prices to fall, with the national average for a gallon of regular gasoline dropping a nickel since last week to hit $3.63. “The national average reached $3.68 last week, and that might be the peak price for now,” said Andrew Gross, AAA spokesperson. “As long as the oil cost keeps wobbling around the low to mid $70s per barrel, drivers will benefit when they fuel up.”

Mercedes introduces all-electric
models for its E-Class sedan lineup

By Paul Borden

(April 26, 2023) Sitting at the top of the electrified versions of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class portfolio is the AMG model reviewed in this space last month. Sitting in the middle of the non-AMG EQE sedan lineup, however, is an electric E-Class that leans more to the practical side of the German automaker’s EV products. That would be the 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQE 350 4MATIC that serves as the subject of this review.

2023 Mercedes AMG SL 63 Roadster

Beautifully crafted, sumptuously
provisioned, blistering performance

By Jim Prueter

(April 26, 2023) Even though I’ve personally never owned one I’ve always fancied myself a “Porsche guy” – as distinct from being a “Mercedes guy.” Although I’ve driven and reviewed plenty of both over the years, there’s something about the image of the cars I could only imagine myself driving — the Benz is a bit, you know, garish. The AMG SL has not changed my mind on this matter, exactly. But man, on man, what a magnificently brutal, heart-pounding thrill ride.

The ultimate solution to impaired driving is in reach

By David Zuby

Executive Vice President and Chief Research Officer, IIHS

(April 24, 2023) Making roads safer often involves doing a lot of little things. There’s no single reason crashes occur and no single way to protect people from death and injury. When we discuss a given solution — whether it’s in the realm of vehicle technology, road design or enforcement — we are usually talking about shaving off a few hundred fatalities from the annual toll at best.
