2012 Accent follows Hyundai design theme

(April 20, 2011) NEW YORK — Hyundai Motor America introduced the all-new 2012 Accent with claims of best-in-class standard fuel economy and power at the New York Auto Show. This marks the U.S. debut of the latest version of the subcompact sedan and the new top-of-the line Accent five-door.

The 2012 Accent is slated to hit dealerships this summer.

Ready to roll in the Big Apple

(April 20, 2011) The New York Auto Show opens on Friday, April 22, in its traditional launch of the spring selling season for auto manufacturers and dealers ready to do away the doldrums’ of winter, although this year’s first quarter tally managed to do quite nicely all things considered.

CTS adds horsepower, new grille for 2012

(April 19, 2011) DETROIT — Cadillac’s CTS luxury sport sedan, coupe and wagon will add an upgraded V-6 engine, new grille and new Touring Package edition for the 2012 model year.

The new 3.6-liter V-6 will use a lighter, more efficient design to give customers more power at the same fuel economy as the current 3.6-liter V-6. The new engine delivers an SAE-certified 318 horsepower and 275 lb.-ft. of torque, compared to the current engine’s 304 horsepower and 273 lb.-ft. of torque.

Volkswagen says that only someone who knows and respects the Beetle’s heritage could produce a new generation of this storied vehicle. The task for Volkswagen engineers was clear.

Focus, C-MAX do well, but overall Ford sales down in Europe

(April 19, 2011) COLOGNE, Germany — Ford unit sales in March were down 13.5 percent in Europe from March 2010, and down 10 per cent in the first quarter compared with the same period last year.

Ford said that this was due to a weaker market in Western Europe than a year ago, plus the favorable impact of scrappage schemes in the early part of 2010 which helped to boost the sale of Ford's small car sales in the first quarter of last year.

2013 Chevrolet Malibu unveiled in United States and China

(April 19, 2011) The current-generation Malibu was a game changer for Chevrolet. The popular mid-sized sedan brought new-found style and a decent driving experience.

That was back in 2007 and Chevrolet has deemed it time to introduce an all-new vehicle a year ahead of its North American sales date. The problem last time was simply to build a better car that would attract buyers. Sales numbers over the last four years show that Chevrolet reached its goal.
