(July 11, 2021) Following the record-setting Kissimmee 2021 auction that reached $141 million in sales this past January, Mecum Auctions will return to Central Florida July 28-31 to host the 2021 Mecum Summer Special, offering an estimated 1,000 consignments at Orlando’s Orange County Convention Center. The event was originally planned to span just three days, July 29-31, but due to an overwhelming response from customers eager to participate, it was expanded to include Wednesday, July 28.



Bentley Mulliner celebrates 100 bespoke projects, personal commissions



(July 10, 2021) CREWE, England — Bentley Mulliner is celebrating its 100th bespoke commission since its own design team was formed in 2014, when the increasing demand for bespoke and personalized vehicles was recognized. The 100th bespoke project is for a European customer who wanted two specific interior features to extend the personalization of their Bentley. The first request was the application of Olive Ash — a veneer associated with the heritage of Mulsanne — to the interior of a Bentayga. The second was to introduce a contrast twin stitch to the upper areas of the seats and door trims adding further contrast to the interior.

How many times have you been driving down the highway (does anybody drive up the highway?) at dusk — especially during inclement weather — and at the last minute you see a car coming toward you in the opposite lane at the last minute…because the head case doesn’t have his lights on? Or if there are lights on they’re dulled parking lights (wait a minute…the PC term for parking lights is now “fender lights.”).
