GM introduces new Super Cruise features to six 2022 model vehicles



(July 23, 2021) DETROIT — General Motors announced today it will introduce new Super Cruise capabilities on six model year 2022 vehicles in the first quarter of 2022. Super Cruise is the industry’s first true hands-free driver-assistance technology allowing drivers to travel hands-free on over 200,000 miles of compatible roads across the U.S. and Canada.

MINI USA set to celebrate National Day of Motoring with 'MINI Together' event



(July 23, 2021) WODCLIFF LAKE, N.J.  — MINI USA is ready to celebrate the first ever National Day of Motoring this weekend, as more than 4,000 MINI owners will rally in their local communities as part of MINI Together, a nationwide MINI owners rally. MINI Together will take place on Saturday(July 24), which also marks the first official National Day of Motoring.  MINI owners will start their self-curated motoring adventures at more than 100 Mini dealerships across the U.S.

For the most part I think rear spoilers are pretty cool. They look sporty and actually can help a vehicle’s handling. But there’s one major flaw that some of them have, whether factory-installed or aftermarket…I DON’T WANT TO THINK THEY’RE CREEPING UP ON ME IN MY REARVIEW MIRROR!!! When I’m glancing rearward, I want to see if there are any other vehicles close enough to make me to cry out, “Danger, Will Robinson.”

Mercury Montego in retirement



The second generation Mercury Montego (1972-1976) was introduced alongside the redesigned Ford Torino. The Montego was also a close kin to the Mercury Cougar. The Montego adopted a split-wheelbase chassis — 114 inches for two doors and 118 inches for four doors. The base engine was a 250 cubic-inch inline six. Several different V-8 engines were optional. This 1972 Montego GT was discovered in Utah.

First stand-alone Porsche service center kicks off U.S. campus development



(July 22, 2021) ATLANTA — The first freestanding Porsche service center in the United States has opened its doors near the busy Atlanta airport. The Porsche Service Center South Atlanta, with 13 lift bays and a design focused on customer comfort and convenience, is the first step of a multi-million dollar investment in new features on the campus of Porsche Cars North America, Inc. (PCNA). Development through 2023 will also include a major expansion of the existing Porsche Experience Center track, where drivers can today book time in the Porsche model of their choice.

Toyota Kentucky produces 10 millionth Camry



(July 22, 2021) GEORGETOWN, Ky.  — Age really is just a number at Toyota’s first wholly owned vehicle plant in North America. Toyota Kentucky (in Georgetown) recently produced its 10 millionth Camry, representing one of America’s best-selling vehicles of all time. The white 2021 Toyota Camry SE rolled off the line to cap a milestone year for the plant, which also celebrated 35 years of operation in the Bluegrass State.
