Dodge to withdraw from NASCAR at conclusion of 2012 season

(August 7, 2012) AUBURN HILLS, Mich. — SRT Motorsports announced today that Dodge will withdraw from NASCAR competition at the conclusion of the 2012 season.

Ralph Gilles, President and CEO of Street and Racing Technology Brand and Motorsports at Chrysler, made the announcement during a media teleconference call. The decision affects current involvement in both the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and NASCAR Nationwide Series.

Chrysler starting to go Hollywood again

By entering in a zip code or searching for a city, consumers will find a list of nearby gas stations and their corresponding prices. The price tool shows the gas stations offering the lowest prices at the top of the list, followed by the stations offering gas at higher prices.

Nissan unveils a new London taxi

GM sales in China set July record

(August 6, 2012) SHANGHAI — General Motors and its joint ventures sold a July record 199,503 vehicles in China, a 15.1 percent increase from last year’s previous high for the month.

Shanghai GM’s sales in China rose 5.7 percent on an annual basis to a July record 97,064 units. SAIC-GM-Wuling’s sales reached 98,694 units, an all-time high for July and an increase of 26.6 percent year on year. FAW-GM’s sales were up 3.1 percent to 3,379 units.

Team Viper achieves goal — Both cars finish La Mans Series race

(August 6, 2012) LEXINGTON, OHIO — SRT Motorsports' Team Viper was candid about its mission in Saturday's American Le Mans Series event at Mid-Ohio. The mission — have both SRT Viper GTS-R race cars running at the finish of the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Challenge in the GT class. Mission accomplished.

Team Viper was making its return to the ALMS series. Not only were both cars running at the finish, the performance improved throughout the two-hour, 45-minute timed event. As an added bonus, one of the Viper GTS-Rs had a top-10 finish.

Nissan gaining foothold in Australia

(August 5, 2012) VICTORIA, Australia — Nissan Australia has achieved a record sales result for the third month in succession after recording 6,148 sales in July, according to internal numbers announced today.

July 2012 was the strongest July for Nissan Australia as a full-line importer and was 18 percent above July 2011, compared with Total Industry Volume up by around six percent.
