(June 19, 2023) LOS ANGELES — Entering its fourth year, the Drive Toward a Cure ’75 Days of Summer’ national fundraising endeavor began on Father’s Day (June 18) and lasts through Labor Day weekend. It encourages driving enthusiasts to get out and do what they enjoy most — to ‘get out and drive!’ The annual program provides multiple chances to win prizes, see roads less traveled, enjoy friends and colleagues, and explore the freedom to simply drive – and all while supporting Parkinson’s Disease patient care and research.

Roadkill Nights moves street-legal drag racing to new location



(June 17, 2023) AUBURN HILLS, Mich. — MotorTrend Presents Roadkill Nights Powered by Dodge is taking street-legal drag racing on famed Woodward Avenue to the center of downtown Pontiac, Mich., as well as growing the overall footprint of the one-day horsepower festival. The popular enthusiast event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, Aug. 12.

Oldsmobile piggyback



Two 1977 Oldsmobile Cutlass 442 models play piggyback in an Arizona salvage yard. The 1977 models featured the ugly 5 mph bumpers mandated by the government. The muscle car era just a memory from the '60s, the largest engine available for the  1977 Olds 442 was the 403-cubic-inch Rocket V-8 making 180 horsepower.

FedEx Express Canada launches its first 50 all-electric vehicles with BrightDrop



(June 16, 2023) MISSISSAUGA, ON — FedEx Express Canada has officially welcomed its first 50 BrightDrop Zevo 600 electric delivery vehicles at an event in Toronto. The introduction of BrightDrop’s electric vans into the FedEx fleet in Canada is an important step in the company’s goal to transform its entire parcel pickup and delivery (PUD) fleet to all-electric, zero-tailpipe emissions vehicles by 2040.

1952 Porsche Roadster to be inducted into National Historic Vehicle Register



(June 16, 2023) TRAVERSE CITY,  Mich. —  The Hagerty Drivers Foundation has announced the 1952 Porsche America Roadster (Type 540), Chassis No. 12336 as the 34th vehicle to be inducted into the National Historic Vehicle Register, the only federally recognized program to document the historical and cultural significance of the automobile.
