Honda Alabama begins production of new 2023 Honda Pilot



(December 16, 2022) LINCOLN, Ala. — Associates at the Honda Alabama Auto Plant (AAP) on Thursday celebrated the start of mass production of the all-new 2023 Honda Pilot, which includes the Pilot TrailSport, the most off-road capable Honda SUV ever. To build the fourth generation Pilot lineup, the largest and most powerful SUV in Honda history, AAP associates were challenged with the most changes of any Honda Pilot since the first model was introduced in 2003.

Lincoln's post-war dashboard



1946 through 1948 Lincoln models featured a unique and stylish dashboard that appear user friendly. This unrestored dash was discovered in an abandoned car in South Carolina. Round gauges flanked a large radio layout, speedometer on the left and clock on the right. Four smaller gauges to the left included gas and temperature readings. The standard transmission was a "three on the tree" 3-speed manual. (

Toyota to end sales of C-HR crossover in 2023



(December 15, 2022) Toyota will discontinue selling the subcompact C-HR crossover, which has been sold in North America since the 2018 model year, in 2023, Toyota says. The small crossover was introduced in North America in 2018. The automaker said the Corolla Cross subcompact crossover and RAV4 compact crossover will become alternatives to the C-HR after the 2022 model year.

Ford F-150 Lightning wins 2023 MotorTrend Truck of the Year



(December 15, 2022) DEARBORN, Mich. — The Ford F-150 Lightning electric pickup truck adds the prestigious 2023 MotorTrend Truck of the Year award to its trophy case. The win sets a precedent — the F-150 Lightning is the first electric truck to win by a unanimous vote among the judges. It’s also only the second time an electric vehicle has won unanimously in the history of MotorTrend's Of The Year competitions.

Mecum Kansas City 2022 collector car auction hits $14.9 million sales

(December 14, 2022) Mecum Auctions’ most recent classic and collector car auction was held in Kansas City, Mo.,  Dec. 1-3, and with 701 vehicles crossing the auction block in total, a 74% sell-through rate was achieved as overall sales reached $14.9 million. Seven of the top 10 highest-dollar sales in Kansas City were nearly new rides with low miles and high style.

Ram recalls 1.4 million pickups over tailgate issue



(December 14, 2022) Stellantis said it is recalling 1.4 million pickups worldwide because tailgates might not latch properly and could open while driving. The automaker said the recall covers various 2019 through 2022 model year Ram 1500, 2500, and 3500 trucks. The recall includes more than 1.23 million vehicles in the U.S., 120,000 in Canada, 26,000 in Mexico and about 27,000 outside North America. Owner notification letters will be mailed in late January.
