Volkswagen to discontinue Passat mid-sized sedan in 2023



(December 1, 2020) The long-running mid-sized Volkswagen Passat will be discontinued in the United States by 2023, according to news sources. The Passat is built in Volkswagen's Chattanooga, Tenn., plant and will reportedly be replaced on the production line by the all-electric ID4. While sales of the Passat were up 25 percent during the first three quarters of 2020, only 16,190 units were produced.

Honda unveils all-new Rebel 1100 for 2021

(November 29, 2020) WALWORTH, Wis. — Mecum Auctions’ forward momentum achieved another thrust with a successful live classic and collector car auction event earlier this month in Las Vegas, as a group of 431 vehicles crossed the auction block. With bids pouring in from both live, on-site auction participants as well as those who opted to bid online from the comfort of home, the Mecum Las Vegas auction saw 316 vehicles hammer sold for a 73% sell-through rate and $13 million in overall sales.

Rolls-Royce lights up with Neon Nights paint trilogy




(November 29, 2020) Rolls-Royce will build a limited number of wildly colorful versions of its Cullinan, Dawn and Wraith. The colors form a new collection known as Neon Nights and follow a similar collection known as Pastel that was unveiled during 2019’s Monterey Car Week. The earlier collection proved so popular that Rolls-Royce decided to do it again, but this time with bolder hues.
