Ford to invest $200 million in engine plant, add 450 jobs

Volkswagen announces launch of world's most fuel-efficient car

(February 22, 2013) WOLFSBURG, Germany —Volkswagen has announced that it will build for sale the XL1, the most fuel-efficient production car in the world, with a European combined fuel consumption rating of 261 mpg. Thanks to its plug-in hybrid system, the two-seat vehicle can also cover up to 32 miles as a zero-emissions vehicle in all-electric mode.

Toyota Camry gets interior upgrades for 2013 model year

Volvo Cars and Geely to build new R&D center in Sweden

Hyundai's European market share increases in January

(February 21, 2013) OFFENBACH — Hyundai increased its share of the European new-car market to 3.6% in January 2013, according to figures released by European motor industry body, ACEA.  In January 2012, the company achieved a market share of 3.3%.  The overall market last month fell by 8.5% compared to the same period last year, while Hyundai registrations were down just 2.2%.

Nissan Leaf joins ranks of Sydneysiders

(February 21, 2013) SYDNEY, Austratlia – The city of Sydney has taken delivery of 10 Nissan Leaf electric cars, the single largest order of the award-winning electric vehicles in Australia. The order replaces its former fleet of 10 Toyota Prius gas-electric hybrid cars, and will be used by a range of City employees, including building and health inspectors, town planners and engineers.
