Cadillac begins XTS production in China for China

(February 26, 2013) DETROIT — Cadillac this week began production of the new XTS luxury sedan in China,   the latest and most important milestone in the brand’s growth in the world’s largest auto market.

Shanghai joins Oshawa, Ontario, as an assembly location for the XTS, marking the brand’s biggest step in its expansion since arriving in China in 2006.

Toyota to export U.S.-built Venza to Russia and Ukraine

(February 26, 2013) NEW YORK — Toyota today announced that it will begin exporting U.S.-assembled Venza vehicles to Russia and Ukraine in 2013. These shipments are expected to build upon Toyota's all-time record export of more than 124,000 U.S.-assembled vehicles to 21 global markets in 2012, an increase of 45 percent over the prior year.

Tim Mahoney named chief marketing officer for Global Chevrolet

(February 25, 2013) DETROIT — General Motors today named Tim Mahoney as chief marketing officer Global Chevrolet and Global GM marketing operations leader, effective April 1. Mahoney joins Chevrolet from Volkswagen, where he has been chief product and marketing officer since 2011.

He will report to Alan Batey, GM vice president, U.S. Sales and Service, and interim GM global chief marketing officer.

Nissan to announce new direction for NISMO performance

GM announces in-vehicle deployment of 4G LTE services

(February 25, 2013) BARCELONA — General Motors today announced a broad global strategy to deliver a new generation of connected cars and trucks with embedded 4G LTE mobile broadband, the largest deployment in the automotive industry to date. The first GM cars, trucks and crossovers to get 4G LTE will be most 2015 Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac models available in 2014 in the United States and Canada delivered through AT&T.
