Survey reveals favorite James Bond car of all time

(October 15, 2012) LOS ANGELES — A new Facebook survey from Total Car Score finds that the Aston Martin DB5 from the 1964 James Bond film Goldfinger is the favorite Bond car of all time. In a Facebook poll of more than 900 participants from across the United States, people selected the Aston Martin DB5 from a list of 10 classic and modern Bond cars that span the franchise's history, from 1962's Dr. No to 2008's Quantum of Solace.

1968 Jaguar E-Type to be stretched during restoration

The site has also identified 10 modern-era muscle cars that offer excellent performance capabilities at a much lower cost, as well as the potential to be future classics.

Auto Union Grand Prix cars join spectacular parade at Revival Festival

James Bond’s Aston Martin could raise $239,000 for charity

(September 8, 2012) LONDON — A 2008 Aston Martin six-liter V12 DBS 2-Door coupe used by Daniel Craig in “Quantum of Solace” is among 40 lots of James Bond memorabilia to go under the hammer Oct. 5 at a charity auction in London.

“The Aston Martin DBS plays a dramatic role in the opening sequence of the film, in which Bond skillfully navigates winding roads,” Christie’s International said today in an e-mailed release. The car is expected to fetch as much as $239,000 (150,000 pounds).

Russo and Steele Monterey 2012 auction tops $10 million in sales

(August 26, 2012) The Russo and Steele Monterey Auction 2012 was held Aug. 16-18 by Fisherman’s Wharf on the waterfront in downtown Monterey, California, resulting in preliminary total sales exceeding $10 million.

The 12th annual Russo and Steele Monterey Auction Aug. 16-18 saw more than 250 cars cross the auction block in Russo’s interactive and entertaining fashion with the top car a 1965 Shelby Cobra 289 CSX2538 that sold for $781,000. Total sales exceeded $10 million.

1960 Ferrari 250 LWB Spider sells for $11 million
