BMW Manufacturing S.C. celebrates 6 million BMWs and 30 years



(October 1, 2022) SPARTANBURG, S.C.  — As September ends, BMW Manufacturing has six million reasons to celebrate two important plant milestones. Earlier in the month, associates at the South Carolina plant produced the six millionth BMW built in the United States. The historic vehicle is a Java Green Metallic BMW X6 M equipped with a 600-horsepower 4.4-liter BMW M TwinPower Turbo V-8 engine, Silverstone Full Merino Leather interior, and 21/22-inch M Star-spoke bi-color wheels. Due to its historic significance, this X6 M will remain at the factory and become part of the BMW historic collection.

BMW Manufacturing opens new logistics center in S.C.



(September 30, 2022) SPARTANBURG, S.C. — BMW Manufacturing officially opened its new logistics center on Freeman Farm Road on Thursday, revealing a more efficient, sustainable, and digital operation. The new Logistics Center for X models, called LCX, is nearly one million square feet in size and was constructed by Becknell Industrial. Total investment in the project is approximately $100 million.

Toyota announces extension to Safety Connect and Service Connect trials



(September 29, 2022) PLANO, Texas  — Toyota has announced additional peace of mind to assist when the unexpected occurs. Safety Connect, a suite of available services that help drivers stay secure while on the road, is now available with an extended trial period to customers of select Toyota models. 2023 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon FarOut — Final EcoDiesel production



(September 28, 2022) AUBURN HILLS, Mich. — Jeep brand is marking the end of Wrangler EcoDiesel production with the exclusive limited-edition Wrangler Rubicon FarOut.  Originally introduced for the 2020 model year, the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon EcoDiesel with 442 lb.-ft. of torque was the most capable Wrangler to date.
