Volvo’s Jacoby to deliver MPG keynote at L.A. Auto Show

(October 13, 2010) LOS ANGELES — The Motor Press Guild (MPG) and the Los Angeles Auto Show announced that the former head master (president and CEO) of the Volkswagen Group of America and now president and chief executive officer of Volvo Cars, Stefan Jacoby will open Media Days at the 2010 Los Angeles Auto Show as keynote speaker.

Jacoby will deliver his address on Nov. 17, following the traditional MPG breakfast at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

Jacoby, who personifies globalization, is a German heading up a Swedish car company owned by a Chinese conglomerate.  He at one time also headed up Mitsubishi Motors Europe.


Jacoby’s experience across the globe including the Asia-Pacific region and China specifically has equipped him with in-depth knowledge to lead Volvo’s planned expansion beyond Europe and North America.

This is the 12th year that MPG has sponsored the breakfast and keynote address at the Los Angeles Auto Show.
