(August 2, 2015) Nissan has taken its flagship Maxima to a new level of styling both inside and out with reduced curb weight,  increased structural rigidity, and now with 300 horsepower from its 3.5-liter V-6. The head-turning sedan is 2.2-inches longer and sits 1.3 inches lower facilitating sleeker styling and better aerodynamics.

Nissan has high hopes that the 2016 Maxima will reinvigorate sales even as the large sedan segment drags because of the unprecedented popularity of crossover vehicles.

Vishnu Jayamohan form Nissan Product Planning and Advanced Strategy, sat down with The Automotive Reporter's Harold Gunn and Brent Clanton to discuss the new product from every angle including the modern design language, explaining Nissan's thinking in developing the car.
