New 2013 Ram 1500 is on its way to dealers

(October 28, 2012) AUBURN HILLS, Mich. — The new, highly anticipated 2013 Ram 1500 is here. Nearly 200 dealers gathered at the Palace of Auburn Hills (Mich.) to deliver the new 2013 Ram 1500 to dealerships across Michigan, Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky.

“The new Ram 1500 is the truck folks are talking about,” said Fred Diaz, president and CEO Ram Truck Brand and Chrysler Mexico. “Customers are returning to the pickup-truck market. With best-in-class 25-mile-per-gallon fuel efficiency and class-exclusive features, buyers have been anxious to get behind the wheel and check the Ram 1500 out for themselves.”

The event is one of several across the United States that the automaker is hosting as part of the truck’s official launch.

The vehicles coming out are 2013 Ram 1500 Big Horn editions, the most popular Ram models across the nation. Depending on the dealer, the vehicles being driven away today will be available for test drives and sale this afternoon.

“Ram 1500 production began just a couple of weeks ago, and our dealers are really excited to get them,” added Diaz. “The 2013 Ram 1500 is setting a new standard for the industry.”

For 2013, the new Ram 1500 offers buyers best-in-class fuel efficiency, new technology and new features without sacrificing capability. Ram 1500 – the most recognizable pickup on the road – raises the bar with a truckload of pioneering, fuel-saving systems and first-in-segment technologies: eight-speed TorqueFlite 8 transmission, stop-start and active aerodynamics, including grille shutters and air suspension.
