Loyal Suzuki owners to gather August 19
(August 15, 2012) UNITED KINGDOM — Aug. 19 could mark the largest group of loyal Suzuki car and motorcycle fans and enthusiasts ever gathered as they converge on Finmere Airfield near Buckingham in the UK for Suzuki Day 2012. The event is being held in conjunction with a wide range of exhibits at the Milton Keynes Car show.
The event is an amalgamation of all the Suzuki Clubs across the UK as well as some owners from overseas. Late entries are still open and to date the response has been staggering with more than 2,600 cars attending as well as 350 motorcycles.
Suzuki GB PLC, located just 10 miles away in Milton Keynes, will be exhibiting its range of cars at Finmere as well as a selection from its latest motorcycle and ATV ranges. Turning back the clock, the SC100 ‘Whizzkid’ from 1982 will be there as well the legendary 2003 BBC Top Gear Liana "Reasonably Priced Car" that is still put to regular use by F1 drivers appearing on the show. Owners will also have the chance to get kitted out too, as Suzuki’s recently launched all new merchandising range will be available at the venue.
This event will also see the official public launch of "Heaven can wait, I’m busy" which is a Global expedition by a team of dedicated Suzuki Jimny owners travelling over 20,000 miles around the top of the world in aid of the Save The Children charity.
