Jaguar XK wins 'most stylish' award in Geneva

(March 7, 2011) The Jaguar XK has won the "Most Stylish" honor in the inaugural CarBuyer Awards presented by the carbuyer.co.uk web site.

On-hand to collect the award, presented at the Geneva Motor Show by Motoring and Digital Editor Dan Strong was Adrian Hallmark, Global Brand Director, Jaguar Cars and Ian Callum, Design Director, Jaguar Cars.

Strong commented: "From its E-type inspired nose to its muscular rear end, the Jaguar XK is everything a British sports car should be. It is beautiful to look at and extremely well proportioned.  But that’s not the only reason for our accolade. The stunning Coupé is blessed with one of the most evocative badges in the world of motoring. If you want to turn heads, look no further."

Styled by a team led by Ian Callum, the XK combines elegant, cohesive styling with advanced aluminum construction and effortless performance to create a coupé that continues to outperform its market. The latest iteration of the coupé was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in the form of the XKR-S.  Developing 550 horsepower and capable of accelerating from rest to 100 mph in just 8.7 seconds, the XKR-S in the fastest accelerating Jaguar since the XJ220 supercar.

The 2011 Kia Sportage won Vehicle of the Year as well as Best 4X4 at the initial awards.
