Chrysler employees supply art for 2013 calendar

(December 12, 2012) AUBURN HILLS, Mich. - Chrysler Group employees, contractors and interns recently had the opportunity to showcase their photography expertise in Chrysler Group’s first-ever calendar contest. Twenty-four winning images were selected from 230 entries submitted by Chrysler Group workers all over the world.

Nancy Watson Barr, the Detroit Institute of Arts’ Associate Curator, served as judge selecting the winning images based on how well the photographs illustrated the contest theme, “Open Road,” as well as the overall appearance and quality of the image.

The “Open Road” theme reflects Chrysler Group’s journey of discovery, challenge and continuous improvement. Submitted images illustrated this theme as it relates to the company in any aspect of its business—brands, products, employees or customers.

“The degree of participation in the contest shows that our Group is full of people who are involved, enthusiastic and talented,” said Sergio Marchionne, Chairman and CEO, Chrysler Group LLC. “All of the images that were submitted demonstrate creativity and originality and, above all, they capture the vital spirit of our brand products, designed and built to leave their mark on the open road for the world to enjoy.”

The twenty-four winners came from a variety of Chrysler Group facilities around the world, including manufacturing plants, proving grounds, Chrysler Group headquarters and more. The calendar features two images per month.

The 2013 Calendars are being distributed to all Chrysler Group facilities worldwide.
