Mercedes-Benz S-Class at the top of 'super luxury' segment

(June 6, 2022) The S-Class has long been the flagship vehicle for the Mercedes-Benz luxury lineup and a case can be made that it also sits at the top of its class in the auto world — period. U.S. News & World Report magazine, which doesn’t do original automotive reviews but bases its rankings on an analysis of critiques from several sources, rates the 2022 Mercedes-Benz S-Class No. 1 among vehicles it classifies as “Super Luxury Cars.”

2022 Nissan Frontier Pro-4X — All-new pickup, same old charm

(June 5, 2022) For 16 years the Nisan Frontier has remained largely unchanged and in automotive speak a rolling fossil where new Oldsmobiles were still in dealer showrooms.  For reference, there wasn’t even such a thing as the iPhone. Yet while it was well past its freshness date the popular mid-size pickup still sold in respectable numbers. That’s not surprising, the old Frontier still looks good, it did most things extremely well and not everyone gets overly excited with the latest high tech and digital stuff they’ll never figure out how to use or even want to know.

2022 Kia Sorento X-Line Prestige — Attractive, feature laden

(June 3, 2022) The Sorento, that was all new last year has come a long way since it was first introduced some two decades ago as Kia’s first entry into the midsize SUV segment. The Sorento carries over for 2022 with minor changes to our tested X-Line Prestige that gains heated second-row captain’s chairs and a larger 10.25 touch screen now standard.

New model debuts for Santa Fe, but Calligraphy remains top trim

(June 1, 2022) The Santa Fe has been a staple in the Hyundai lineup for just over two decades, but this is just the second year that the Calligraphy has served as the top-of-the-line trim for non-hybrid/plugin models. Though a bit larger than the Tucson, the 2022 Hyundai Santa Fe offers seating for only five occupants in a spacious and upscale cabin that has a large storage area (36.4 cubic feet) behind the second row of seats.
