Ducati collaboration with AMG to be shown off in Frankfurt

(September 7, 2011) AMG performance is no longer just for cars.

The new Ducati Diavel AMG Special Edition will be unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show next week. it is the first tangible result of the collaboration announced last fall in Los Angeles between Ducati and Mercedes-Benz’s performance division.

The very potent machine features carbon fiber lateral radiator grills with aluminum trim and a slew of details highlighting AMG’s involvement, such as five-spoke wheels, a sport exhaust system and a horizontally ribbed seat. The Diavel AMG is reportedly powered by a 1.2 liter L-Twin engine which can put down 162 horsepower and 94 lb-ft of torque.

The first Diavel AMGs will be delivered in 2012.
