Toyota recalls 55,000 2023-24 Prius models in U.S.

(April 21, 2024) Toyota said last week it will recall certain 2023 and 2024 Prius and Prius Prime sedans to replace the rear door opener switches, which the automaker says may encounter water intrusion and short circuit. The recall involves about 211,000 vehicles globally, including about 55,000 in the U.S., the automaker said Wednesday.

This early circa 1970s Fiat 124 Spider was found in retirement in an Arizona salvage yard. It appears from the scrawling on the windshield that the owner thinks the relic is still worth $1,500. The original two-seater was built by the Italian company from 1966 through 1985. The first 124 was powered by an inline four-cylinder engine making 89 horsepower.
