Mazda launches first Mazda2 Hybrid in Europe



(December 7, 2021) The new 2022 Mazda2 Hybrid goes on sale throughout Europe this spring and brings self-charging full hybrid powertrain technology to the Mazda model range for the first time. The Mazda2 Hybrid is a self-charging, full hybrid that combines a 1,490cc 93 horsepower three-cylinder gas engine with a 59kW electric motor for a total system power of 116 horsepower.

Mazda’s new hybrid will accelerate from 0-62 mph in 9.7 seconds and returns a WLTP combined cycle fuel economy of between 70.6 to 74.3 mpg (European) depending on the specification of 16” or 15” wheels.

All-new three-wheeled Morgan to be launched in 2022



(December 6, 2021) Following the end of production for the Morgan 3 Wheeler a few months ago, the Morgan Motor Company has confirmed that an all-new three-wheeled model is undergoing testing ahead of a 2022 launch.  While most details about the car are yet to be shared, images of a heavily disguised engineering prototype have been published by the company, along with a montage of early design sketches.

Electrify America reaches 30 megawatts in installed battery energy storage



(December 6, 2021) RESTON, Va. — Electrify America has announced that it has installed onsite, behind-the-meter battery energy storage systems (BESS) at over 140 DC fast charging stations around the country, including more than 90 installations in California. These systems in total have more than 30 megawatts (MW) of energy storage capacity, representing the largest roll-out of onsite behind-the-meter battery energy storage coupled with ultra-fast DC chargers in North America.
