Honda Alabama begins production of 2022 Honda Passport



(December 21, 2021) Honda has announced the start of mass production of the new 2022 Honda Passport and Passport TrailSport at its Alabama Auto Plant (AAP) in Lincoln. The refreshed 2022 Honda Passport begins arriving at dealerships this winter with a new exterior design that reflects its off-road capabilities. AAP also has begun production of the first Honda TrailSport models — Passport TrailSport and Pilot TrailSport — both built exclusively in Alabama.

Roush Performance announces 2021 Bronco R Series kit



(December 21, 2021) LIVONIA, MICH.  — Roush Performance has announced that its Roush Bronco R Series Kit for the 2021 Ford Bronco is available to order now through all Roush Authorized Dealers or on the Roush Performance website and the Air Induction and Axle-Back Exhaust Systems will be available starting on Dec.23. A first for Roush, this new kit-in-a-box product ships directly to dealers or consumers in a serialized, limited-edition crate and includes everything from engine performance components to wheels and aesthetic upgrades.
 


Advanced Design Chevy in the snow



Chevrolet beat Ford to the punch following World War II with the first new American pickup truck design of the 1940s. Launched on June 28, 1947, Chevrolet called its new series of trucks the Chevrolet Advance Design . Chevrolet promoted them as being larger, stronger, and of sleeker design in comparison to their pre-war truck models. The design was so good Chevy the trucks largely unchanged from 1947 until 1955.  This copy was found languishing in the snow in Nevada.

Toyota's Arizona Mobility Test Center made available to auto industry



(December 20, 2021) WITTMANN, Ariz. — The Toyota Arizona Proving Grounds (TAPG), Toyota’s proprietary U.S. vehicle development and testing facility, will become available to the broader industry as a vehicle testing resource as it officially launches the Arizona Mobility Test Center (AMTC) at TAPG. Toyota has tapped Intertek Transportation Technologies to operate the facility and provide tenant management and related services under a new multi-year agreement, while Toyota maintains ownership and continues its testing activities at TAPG.

Production begins on GMC Hummer EV Edition 1 pickup

(December 18, 2021) DEARBORN, Mich. — The 2022 Mustang Mach-E is now available for order with a starting price of $43,895. The 2022 Mustang Mach-E California Route 1 has an EPA estimated-range of 314 miles with an extended range battery and RWD. The 2022 Mustang Mach-E California Route 1 model is now available with electric all-wheel drive and has standard heated seats and steering wheel.
