GM introduces Ultium Charge 360 — To put 'Everybody In' an electric vehicle

(May 1, 2021) DETROIT — General Motors introduced Ultium Charge 360, a holistic charging approach that integrates charging networks, GM vehicle mobile apps, and other products and services to simplify the overall charging experience for GM electric vehicle owners. Ultium Charge 360 builds on GM’s existing charging efforts to provide GM EV owners more confidence and convenience when it comes to EV charging.

Honda introduces all-new Civic for 2022 model year

There are many things I’ve done these past many years that I’ve wished I hadn’t wasted part of my life doing. It could be as mundane as taking a nap on a beautiful day when I wasn’t really tired, dated the ice princess from high school or watched a Detroit Lions game on television. I’ll never get that time back and I try not to think of all the things I could have done instead. But few things gripe my behind more than sitting at a stoplight in the middle of Pinhook, Indiana, at 3 a.m. when the only living things around are me and the unseen inmates that escaped that aft

Electrify America opens 600 public fast charging stations in three years

(April 30, 2021) RESTON, Va. — In less than three years, Electrify America now has 600 electric vehicle (EV) charging stations across the continental United States open to the public. The nation’s largest open DC fast-charging network opened its first charging station on May 2, 2018, in Chicopee, Mass. Today, Electrify America has nearly 2,600 individual fast chargers across the country, furthering its mission to build an accessible charging network that encourages EV adoption.

To achieve this aim, the company is inviting startups worldwide to participate in the Open Call 360° Sustainability Challenge. Collaboration with young companies can play a key role in promoting the use of innovative technologies. That is why the BMW Group launched the BMW Startup Garage back in 2015 and is now taking the next step with the Open Call 360° Sustainability Challenge.

Toyota to invest $803 million in Indiana plant, add two new SUVs

(April 29, 2021) PRINCETON, Ind.  — With its 25th anniversary right around the corner, Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Indiana (TMMI) is poised to celebrate with gusto as it announces an investment sure to drive the team through the next 25 years and beyond. Toyota has announced an $803 million investment and 1,400 new jobs at the Princeton  auto-manufacturing plant in preparation to introduce two all-new, three-row SUVs designed with the active Gen Y American Family in mind. What’s more, only one will bear the Toyota name. The other will officially introduce the Lexus line to Toyota Indiana.
