Kia reveals new design philosophy; full images of EV6


    
(March 16, 202) Kia Corporation has revealed the first images of the exterior and interior design of EV6, its first dedicated battery electric vehicle (BEV), ahead of the car’s world premiere in March. EV6 was designed under the brand’s new design philosophy "Opposites United," which takes inspiration from the contrasts found in nature and humanity. At the center of the design philosophy is a new visual identity evoking positive forces and natural energy, with contrasting combinations of sharp stylistic elements and sculptural shapes.

BMW investing in CO2-free steel production



(March 15, 2021) MUNICH, Germany — The BMW Group is systematically implementing its sustainability goals. As announced last week, the company is investing in an innovative method for CO2-free steel production developed by American startup Boston Metal, through its venture capital fund, BMW i Ventures. Over the coming years, Boston Metal plans to expand the new method for steel production on an industrial scale. The investment is part of the BMW Group’s far-reaching sustainability activities aimed at significantly reducing CO2 emissions across the supplier network.

More than 850,000 Nissan Sentras recalled over brake light issue



(March 15, 2021) Nissan is recalling more than 850,000 Sentra compact sedans in North America over a defect that may prevent the brake lights from illuminating, which could increase the risk of a crash. The affected vehicles — totaling 807,376 units in the U.S. and 46,737 in Canada — are 2016-19 model-year Sentras. Nissan said it is not aware of any accidents related to this issue.

The return of Wagoneer as a premium extension of the Jeep brand has a starting U.S. manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $59,995 including a rather steep $2,000 destination charge. Grand Wagoneer has a starting price of $88,995 including destination.
