Nissan's twin-motor all-wheel-control — Instant torque to all four wheels

(January 8, 2020 LAS VEGAS — Nissan is elevating the performance capability of electric vehicles with its new twin-motor all-wheel-control technology called e-4ORCE. The technology provides instant torque to all four wheels to deliver balanced, predictable power and handling on par with many premium sports cars.

The “e” represents Nissan’s technologies enabled by a 100% electric motor drive system. “4ORCE,” pronounced “force,” evokes physical power and energy with “4” standing for the all-wheel control driving capability.

An old Dodge in Utah



This used up 1957 Dodge pickup was spotted by the side of the road near Hanksville, Utah. It was the only year that Dodge made this particular front-end design. The '57 Dodge could be purchased with a 230 cubic inch inline six making 120 horsepower or three different V-8 engines ranging in size from 172 horsepower to 204 horsepower. The truck came with either a 2-speed or 3-speed automatic transmission.

Petersen Automotive Museum to host Bruce Meyer's cruise-in

(January 7, 2020) LOS ANGELES — The Petersen Automotive Museum will host Bruce Meyer’s ALL-AMERICAN CRUISE-IN with special programming celebrating Carroll Shelby and “Ford v Ferrari” on Sunday, Jan. 26 at 8 a.m. The Petersen hosts a themed cruise-in the last Sunday of every month.

This month, cruise-in attendees will see a wide selection of classic and modern American performance and custom cars with a massive turnout of original Cobras, Shelby vehicles, continuation cars and more. All American cars are welcome, but special parking will be provided for Shelby vehicles.

Uber and Hyundai announce full-scale air taxi model

(January 7, 2020) LAS VEGAS — Uber and Hyundai Motor Company have announced a new partnership to develop Uber Air Taxis for a future aerial ride share network and unveiled a new full-scale aircraft concept at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES). Hyundai is the first automotive company to join the Uber Elevate initiative, bringing automotive-scale manufacturing capability and a track record of mass-producing electric vehicles.

Mercedes-Benz and Bosch build a modern testing center in Brazil

(January 6, 2020) Mercedes-Benz and Bosch have joined forces in Brazil to build a state-of-the-art Vehicle Test Center. In addition to trucks and buses, it will also be possible to test passenger cars, light commercial vehicles and motorcycles in the future. One ground-breaking aspect of the joint project: the new facility is to be made available to other manufacturers of vehicles, systems and vehicle components.

The Vehicle Test Center is to be built on the existing Mercedes-Benz testing grounds in Iracemápolis (state of São Paulo).
