EAV launches first fully temperature-controlled eCargo bike

(December 1, 2019) LONDON — Electric Assisted Vehicles Limited (EAV) has launched a world’s first fully temperature-controlled eCargo bike. The EAVcool Cargo was launched to exceptional interest at the Restaurant and Takeaway Show at London’s Excel Arena last week. Primarily designed for the urban transport and delivery of chilled or frozen goods within a continuous cold chain, the EAVcool is a purpose-built, zero-emissions, environmentally- focused quadracycle.

Free supercharger package offered for 2019 Harley-Davidson Ford F-150s

(November 30, 2019) ELKHART, Ind. — Supercharging is once again available on the Harley-Davidson F-150 as part of a new dealer program announced earlier this month by executives with manufacturer Tuscany Motor Company. To kick off the dealer supercharger option, any new 2019 F-150 Harley-Davidson purchased from a participating Ford dealer at MSRP will include the 700 horsepower supercharger installed at no additional charge.

Bertrand Piccard breaks hydrogen-powered vehicle distance record

(November 30, 2019) French aeronaut and president of the Solar Impulse Foundation Bertrand Piccard has broken the world record for the longest distance traveled in a hydrogen-powered vehicle on a single refueling. Driving in a Hyundai Nexo, Piccard left the FaHyence hydrogen station in Sarreguemines, France, on Nov. 25. He arrived the next day at the Musée de l'Air et de l'Espace in Le Bourget, France — a distance of 778 km (483 miles). Never before has a production car powered by a hydrogen fuel cell covered so many kilometers on a single charge.

Volkswagen delivers 100,000th e-Golf worldwide

(November 29, 2019) DRESDEN, Germany — Volkswagen this week delivered the 100,000th e-Golf in the Gläserne Dresden manufacturing plant. The model was launched in 2014 as the Volkswagen brand’s second battery electric vehicle (BEV) after the e-up!, which launched in 2013. The e-Golf is one of the most successful electric vehicles in Europe and is also popular with customers in other countries — including the U.S.

This circa 1940 Dodge COE (cab over engine) truck cab was found in a Texas salvage yard. A straight 6-cylinder Chrysler Flathead was used in most of these trucks mated to a three- or four-speed manual transmission.
