Hyundai Group unveils innovative electric vehicle charging and parking

The system will offer a convenience to drivers who are faced with an overcrowding of both parking and charging locations as electric vehicle numbers grow steadily.

Growing crossover sales can't offset slump in passenger car sales at GM

(January 3, 2019) DETROIT — General Motors reported its third-consecutive year of slight U.S. sales declines as its growing lineup of utility vehicles couldn't offset significant drops in most of its passenger cars.

GM said sales last year slid 1.6 percent compared with 2017 to 2.95 million vehicles — marking the first time the automaker's sales have been below 3 million since 2014. That includes a 2.7 percent decline in the fourth quarter and an estimated 3.7 percent drop in December.

Dodge/SRT and LEGO launch new LEGO speed champions building set

(January 3, 2019) AUBURN HILLS, Mich. — Dodge and The LEGO Group announced a partnership pairing the two iconic brands through a new multimedia marketing campaign. The campaign launches with a new 30-second television commercial “Metamorphosis” that first breaks across the Dodge brand’s Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and YouTube channels.

The initiative also includes a new LEGO Speed Champions building set that features the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon and the 1970 Dodge Charger R/T.

Mark Reuss named General Motors president; succeeds Dan Ammann

(January 3, 2019) DETROIT — General Motors today announced the appointment of Mark Reuss as company president, effective immediately. Reuss currently leads the Global Product Group and Cadillac and will now assume responsibility for the Quality organization. Reuss will succeed Dan Ammann. GM last month said Ammann, 46, would step down from the role to lead the company's Cruise autonomous vehicle unit, effective Jan. 1.

Known in the 1950s as one of the "low-priced three" along with Ford and Chevrolet, Plymouth enjoyed solid sales. For instance, in 1950 Plymouth was the nation's third-best seller with 610,954 units sold. Chevrolet (1.5 million) and Ford (1.2 million) were first and second respectively. This circa 1950 two-door coupe is part of an idyllic scene in a New Mexico ghost town.
