Popular mid-century tractor



This retired copy of an Allis Chalmers Model B tractor was found in a barn in eastern North Carolina. The Model B — built between 1937 and 1957 — was one of the company's most popular and versatile tractors. Over the years the Model B came in several variations, powered by a 4-cylinder gas engine.

Hyundai introduces all-new Veloster to U.S. audience

(May 16, 2018) AUSTIN, Texas — Hyundai unveiled its all-new Veloster and Veloster Turbo models to the press here this week. The fresh design was a collaborative effort of Hyundai designers from Seoul, South Korea and the U.S. design center in Irvine, Calif. The new Veloster features a comprehensive exterior and interior redesign, powertrain enhancements, and a bevy of new and improved infotainment and connectivity features.

The 2019 Veloster began production in March 2018 in Ulsan, Korea, with U.S. market availability in early summer.

The drive of a lifetime — 14 countries in 20 days in a Volvo XC40

(May 15, 2018) NEWPORT, R.I. — A trio of Brazilian journalists have completed a cross-continental drive from Itajaí, Brazil to Newport, Rhode Island in just 20 days. Cacá Clauset and his team braved border agents, ferries, and over 10,000 miles in a new Volvo XC40 as members of the Volvo Ocean Race sailed between the two ports.

“It has been an incredible journey in an incredible car,” said Clauset, former rally driver and the leader of the drive team, “we’d like to do another 11,000 miles in this car!”

Honda launches all-new 2019 Insight electrified sedan in Indiana

Kia to launch new diesel 48V mild-hybrid powertrain this year

(May 15, 2018) Kia Motors will introduce its first 48V diesel mild-hybrid powertrain in the second half of this year. The new "EcoDynamics+" powertrain reduces CO2 emissions by supplementing acceleration with electric power from an additional 48-volt battery and extending combustion engine "off time" using a new Mild-Hybrid Starter-Generator unit.

Nissan to expand ProPILOT Assist to additional models

(May 14, 2018) YOKOHAMA, Japan — Nissan's innovative ProPILOT Assist semi-autonomous driving system has been a hit with customers, with more than 120,000 vehicles featuring the technology sold globally. The availability of ProPILOT Assist is now set to expand to additional models, including the Nissan Rogue Sport in the U.S. and the Qashqai in Canada, beginning in late 2018, as Nissan CEO Hiroto Saikawa said today during the company's fiscal year 2017 financial results announcement. The Rogue, including the Rogue Sport, is Nissan's top-selling nameplate in the U.S. market.

Ford donates 38 vehicles to support hurricane recovery efforts in Texas

(May 14, 2018) HOUSTON — Nine months after the devastation caused by Hurricane Harvey, Ford Motor Company is reinforcing its commitment to the Houston community and continuing its support of ongoing recovery efforts in southeast Texas.

Ford employees, Houston-area Ford dealers and local nonprofits gathered at the Houston Food Bank last Friday for a Texas Is Family community event that marked the donation of 38 Ford vehicles to eight organizations in the state.
