2018 GMC Terrain scores an aerodynamic touchdown

Charity donations bring in $6.21 million at Barrett-Jackson

(January 22, 2018) SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. –Former President George W. Bush and Chad McQueen helped Barrett-Jackson speed past the $100 million mark in funds raised for charity as 10 vehicles brought in $6.21 million for non-profit organizations during the 47th annual Scottsdale Auction at WestWorld.

The top fundraisers included the first current-generation Ford GT that has been donated for charity since the car was introduced, bringing in $2.55 million to push the company to nearly $102 million since 1971.

Flint Engine Operations to build new turbo-diesel for 2019 Silverado

(January 20, 2018) FLINT, Mich. — General Motors has announced that Flint Engine Operations will serve as the manufacturing site for the all-new Duramax 3.0L turbo-diesel for the 2019 Silverado. In 2015 GM announced a $263 million investment in Flint Engine Operations for a new engine line.

The 2019 Silverado will be available with six engine/transmission combinations, enabling customers to find the combination of performance, efficiency and value that best fits their needs. One of these choices will be the all-new Flint-built 3.0L inline-six turbo-diesel.

Ford adds 365,000 vehicles to Takata airbag recall

(January 19, 2018) DEARBORN, Mich. — Ford is expanding a safety recall for certain Takata airbag inflators in North America. The recall involves 365,000 vehicles. Ford has also issued a safety recall for 363 model year 2018 Expeditions and Lincoln Navigators for a rear-door window issue.
