Volkswagen Tiguan becomes dog-friendly

(November 24, 2017) CULVER CITY, Calif. — Volkswagen has outfitted an all-new 2018 Tiguan with the latest in doggy-themed accessories, all which were on display at Wags, Wheels and Waffles, a charity event inspired by the need to find permanent homes for rescued pets. The event, presented by Auto Conduct, featured dogs from Southern California animal charities Maeday Rescue and A Purposeful Rescue in addition to a made-to-order waffle station for attendees.

2018 Mazda CX-5 gets some new features at each trim level

(November 23, 2017) IRVINE, Calif. — The Mazda CX-5 compact crossover SUV continues to win the hearts of critics and customers, with its sales off to a record pace since the second generation went on sale this past spring. And for the 2018 model year, the CX-5 is getting cylinder-deactivation technology and safety and refinement updates at all trim levels.

Mazda CX-5’s SKYACTIV-G 2.5 engine has received small updates to reduce internal friction and the amount customers will spend on fuel, but no feature stands out more than its segment-exclusive cylinder-deactivation technology.

Production of Volvo’s first ever small premium SUV begins in Belgium

(November 23, 2017) A new era starts for the Volvo Cars plant in Ghent, Belgium today as the first customer-bound XC40 small SUV is set to roll off the production line. The new XC40, for which the company has already received over 13,000 orders, is Volvo Cars’ first ever small premium SUV. The first customers can expect to take delivery of their new XC40 early next year.

All-new Hyundai Accent starts at $15,880

(November 22, 2017) FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif. — Hyundai has announced pricing for its all-new 2018 Accent, starting at $15,880 including destination charge for the SE sedan model. New standard features on the SE trim level include a 5-inch color touchscreen audio system with rearview camera, Bluetooth phone interface, steering wheel mounted audio / cruise controls, spare tire and 15-inch wheels.

The all-new Accent includes all of this with only a small price increase of $250 compared with the 2017 SE model.

Period-correct logos for early Corvettes now available from Lloyd Mats
