Infiniti reveals Prototype 9 retro roadster at Pebble Beach

The car, called Prototype 9, is a celebration of Nissan Motor and Infiniti's ingenuity, artistry and craftsmanship. It represents a reimagining of a 1940s race car with time-honored production techniques employed to realize its retro design.

Nissan to sell its electric battery business

(August 10, 2017) YOKOHAMA, Japan — Nissan Motor Co. has announced it has entered into a definitive sale and purchase agreement with GSR Capital (GSR), a private investment fund, for the sale of Nissan's electric battery operations and production facilities to GSR.

The sale and purchase agreement covers Nissan's battery subsidiary, Automotive Energy Supply Corporation (AESC), as well as battery manufacturing operations in Smyrna, Tenn., owned by Nissan North America Inc. (NNA), and in Sunderland, England, owned by Nissan Motor Manufacturing (U.K.) Ltd. (NMUK).
