Audi records 77th consecutive month of record sales in U.S.

(June 1, 2017) HERNDON, Va. — Audi of America reported a May sales increase of 2.5 percent to 19,197 vehicles, as the SUVs and the A4, A5 models led the gains. May 2017 marked the 77th consecutive month of record sales for Audi of America, as well as the fifth-best sales month in the brand’s U.S. history.

The previous May record was set last year with 18,728 vehicles sold. Through the first five months of 2017, Audi sales have risen 6.5 percent to 83,555 vehicles.

Audi first to be awarded New York automated vehicle testing license

(June 1, 2017) HERNDON, Va. — New York has approved Audi of America's application to be the first company authorized to perform autonomous vehicle testing in the state. Audi intends to demonstrate and test vehicles in New York with Society of Automobile Engineers (SAE) Level 3 automation.

It will conduct the first autonomous vehicle demonstration in state history, beginning in Albany, near the state capitol, in mid-June.
