In a time of 7:10.9, the new pinnacle of the AMG model range was faster through the "Green Hell" than any other road-going sports car ever tested by the motoring magazine.

The laptime for the 577-horsepower "Beast of the Green Hell" was just 7:10.9, faster than any other road-going sports car ever tested.

IAMI — I have a fondness for convertibles — and my favorite car of the moment is the Jaguar F-Type. So you can imagine how I feel about the convertible version. Yes, I like it. A lot.

Just a week after driving the 2017 Jaguar F-Type SVR Coupe, I was given the opportunity to get behind the wheel of a 2017 Jaguar F-Type R Convertible. (Not that it means anything, but this is the opposite way the F-Type was introduced with the convertible hitting the market as a 2014 model and the coupe following for 2015.)

Ford tops industry for U.S. patents granted in 2016

(December 10, 2016) DEARBORN, Mich. — Ford employees are driving innovation throughout the business at record pace, netting approximately 1,500 U.S. patents so far this year — the most of any automaker and a 25 percent increase versus 2015. Ford employees have submitted the most patent applications in the company’s 113-year history this year in both the United States and globally. Worldwide, Ford employees submitted 8,000 new inventions in 2016, a 40 percent increase over 2015, and a 90 percent jump over 2014.
