Ram launches 1500 Rebel Mojave Sand; Ignition Orange Sport returns

The first is a new 2017 limited-edition Ram 1500 Rebel Mojave Sand package. Ram will also reintroduce a limited run of Ram 1500 Ignition Orange Sport models.

Toyota breaks ground on plant in Mexico

(November 15, 2016) APASEO el GRANDE, Guanajuato, Mexico — Along with the local community, Toyota celebrated the groundbreaking of Toyota Motor Manufacturing de Guanajuato (TMMGT), its 15th manufacturing plant in North America, during a ceremony in Apaseo el Grande on Monday.

TMMGT will produce the Corolla beginning in 2019, and employ approximately 2,000 team members from the Bajio region.

Infiniti introduces QX Sport Inspiration and Q60 3.0t Sport in L.A.

(November 15, 2016) LOS ANGELES — Infiniti has debuted two vehicles — the Q60 3.0t Sport and the QX Sport Inspiration — and an industry first engine technology for the first time in North America at the 2016 Los Angeles Auto Show, which runs Nov. 18 through the 27 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Additionally, the Infiniti Q60 Neiman Marcus Limited Edition is on display at the Infiniti stand.

Volkswagen to unveil Passat GT concept at L.A. show

(November 15, 2016) HERNDON, Va. — Volkswagen will unveil the Passat GT concept, designed by the company’s North American engineering hub in Chattanooga, Tenn., at this week at Automobility LA.  It combines fresh styling updates with the powerful 280-horsepower VR6 engine previewing a potential addition to the Passat lineup. The concept was based on extensive feedback from U.S. customers and dealers.

More than 50 vehicles to be revealed at L.A. show this week

(November 14, 2016) The L.A. Auto Show will unveil more than 50 vehicles to the media today through Thursday, Nov. 17, at AutoMobility LATM at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Among the more than 20 world debuts will be introductions by Alfa Romeo, Mazda, MINI, Subaru, Volkswagen and a compact SUV from Jeep.  Other reveals confirmed are those from Infiniti, Jaguar Land Rover and smart.  Audi, Mercedes-Benz and Nissan will have multiple reveals, while Porsche has confirmed five debuts.

Chevy introduces updated 2017 Spark ACTIV

Hyundai takes next step with 60-vehicle Paris fuel cell taxi fleet

(November 14, 2016) Hyundai will hand over 60 ix35 Fuel Cell cars to the Paris-based electric taxi start-up STEP (Société du Taxi Electrique Parisien). Last week a memorandum of understanding was signed at the opening of a public hydrogen fuel station operated by Air Liquide at Hyundai Motor’s European headquarters in Offenbach, Germany.

The world’s largest fuel cell taxi fleet “hype” (Hydrogen Powered Electric) currently serves the Greater Paris Area with five ix35 Fuel Cell cars that Hyundai Motor delivered in December 2015. The fleet is planned to increase up to several hundred vehicles within five years.

Whatever you call it, Infiniti's Q50 Red Sport has a lot to offer

(November 14, 2016) I like red cars. Unless you count a maroon Ford Falcon Sprint convertible I had back in the mid-1960s, though, I’ve never owned one, but I do like them. Thus when a red 2017 Infiniti Q50 sedan showed up in my driveway recently, it had me at first look. That it happened to the top-of-the-line Red Sport 400 trim just added to the anticipation.
