Racing legend Roger Penske to drive Camaro SS pace car at Indy

(April 19, 2016) INDIANAPOLIS — A unique version of the new, 2017 Camaro SS 50th Anniversary Edition will lead the 100th running of the Indianapolis 500 next month, driven by motorsports legend Roger Penske, who is marking 50 years as a race team owner. It’s the ninth time Camaro has served as the pace car and the 27th time for Chevrolet, dating back to 1948.

Rare barn-find Vauxhall returns for happy reunion

(April 18, 2016) LUTON, England — A 1923 Vauxhall 23/60 made its first long journey after an 18-month mechanical restoration last weekend to be reunited with three generations of the previous owner’s family at Vauxhall Motors’ Heritage Centre in Luton.

Known as "Alice," the vintage Vauxhall is now thought to be the most original of the c90 surviving 23/60s from a total production of 1,300 made at the famous Kimpton Road factory between 1922 and 1926.

Toyota donates 45 engines to tech schools in north Alabama

(April 16, 2016) HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — High school technical schools in six counties recently got a lot of “educational horsepower” delivered as Toyota Motor Manufacturing Alabama donated 45 engines manufactured at its Huntsville plant.  The donated V6 engines were built on Toyota Alabama’s newest production line.   
 
The announcement was made at the quarterly meeting of the Northeast Alabama Workforce Development Council that is comprised of Madison, Morgan, Marshall, Limestone, Cullman, Jackson and DeKalb counties.
