Designed specifically for urban commuting, and featuring a host of connected technologies, the Mahindra e2o will be available in two trim levels. The entry-level e2o City is priced competitively. The higher-spec TechX version includes a touchscreen infotainment center with reversing camera, telematics, revive remote emergency recharging, leather seats, alloy wheels and a rapid charging port.

To pique interest, the hybrid system was wrapped in supercar packaging, and tidbits like a peak operating power of 1,030 horsepower, 0-62 mph in 2.5 seconds, a restricted top speed of 217.5 mph, a range of more than 1,242 miles, and a plug-in fuel economy of up to 1,569 mpg were bandied about.
