(January 23, 2015) Even by Barrett-Jackson standards, the recent nine-day marathon auction in Scottsdale was a mammoth undertaking, setting new records for total sales ($130 million), and memorabilia sales ($6.55 million) — not to mention attendance, vehicles sold and TV audience.
"I guess it's fair to say this was the biggest management challenge of my life, especially with the high expectations for the sale of the world famous Ron Pratte collection of classic vehicles. But we pulled it off, and it's good to be back home, working to help people in Texas get their land and other assets sold," said Spanky Assiter, founder and chairman of Assiter Auctioneers.
