Gas prices continue to fall across the country

(December 9, 2014) The average price of a gallon of gasoline in the United States has dropped nearly a dollar since early May, the lowest price in more than four years, according to the Lundberg survey released Sunday.

Lundberg said prices for regular-grade gasoline
fell to $2.72 a gallon on average nationwide, down 12 cents since the last survey two week ago.

Subaru picks site for new North American headquarters

(December 7, 2014) CHERRY HILL, N.J. —  Subaru of America has confirmed that it has identified the preferred location of its new corporate headquarters as an all-new development in Camden, N.J. The new site is approximately four miles from the company’s current location in Cherry Hill, N.J.

The confirmation comes as Subaru celebrates six successive annual sales records and the new building is planned to bring on to one campus various functions of the company including sales, marketing, service and administration that are presently housed across three separate sites in southern New Jersey.

Alfa Romeo 4C garners more accolades

(December 6, 2014) As the Alfa Romeo 4C arrives in more markets, it is quickly adding more accolades to the long list of those it has already picked up since its European rollout. As the first cars arrive in dealerships in the U.S. the new Alfa Romeo 4C has been named “Best Performance and Luxury Car to Buy” by Motor Authority and has picked up the “Sports Car” award in the Popular Mechanics 2014 Car Awards.

It was also named a 2015 Automobile “All-Star,” an accolade that reflects what the magazine’s enthusiast readers most want to drive.

First Ferrari Sergio arrives in UAE; just six to be built

(December 6, 2014) ABU DHABI — The first Ferrari Sergio has arrived in the United Arab Emirates. It was delivered Friday to its new owner, the SBH Royal Auto Gallery in the UAE, at Abu Dhabi’s Yas Marina Circuit, where the Finali Mondiali Ferrari are being staged and which is home to the Ferrari World theme park.

GM sells 3.18 million vehicles in China in 11 months

(December 5, 2014) SHANGHAI — General Motors and its joint ventures set new sales records for November and the year as a whole in China. In November, domestic sales increased 5.3 percent year on year to 310,094 units. For the first 11 months, sales in China rose 10.1 percent to 3,182,595 units — surpassing last year’s previous full-year sales record of 3,160,377 vehicles.

Shanghai GM sold 149,747 vehicles in China during November, a year-on-year increase of 5.4 percent. SAIC-GM-Wuling’s domestic sales rose 6.7 percent to 156,065 units. FAW-GM sold 4,282 vehicles, down 28.9 percent.

Volvo enhances automactic braking features with 'City Safety'

(December 5, 2014) Starting with the all-new Volvo XC90, City Safety becomes the umbrella name for all of Volvo Cars’ auto brake functions. The continuously enhanced collision-avoidance and mitigation technologies, which are standard in the XC90, include yet another Volvo world first: automatic braking if the driver turns in front of an oncoming vehicle.
