Next-generation Volt to feature all-new propulsion system

(October 29, 2014) WARREN, Mich. — When the next-generation Chevrolet Volt debuts at the North American International Auto Show in January, it will feature an all-new Voltec extended range electric vehicle (EREV) propulsion system substantially developed from Volt owners including data collected on their driving behaviors.

The Voltec system includes the battery, drive unit, range-extending engine and power electronics. The new system will be more efficient and offer greater EV range and fuel economy compared to the current generation.

Mopar fans select online 'Top Eliminator HEMI Heritage' winner

Kia and NBA expand partnership with multiyear agreement

Detroit Electric reveals fastback design for its all-electric sports car

(October 28, 2014) DETROIT — The final exterior design of Detroit Electric’s all-new, pure electric two-seater sports car, the SP:01, was revealed Monday as the company gears up for production. The lightweight, limited-edition SP:01 will be the world’s fastest production electric sports car when it goes on sale in Asia, Europe and North America, starting in 2015.

Mazda to show compact crossover CX-3 in Los Angeles

Nissan creates world's biggest Zorb — with a Nissan Note inside

(October 27, 2014) LONDON — Nissan has created the world's biggest working Zorb, complete with a full-sized Note safely cushioned inside. The giant inflatable ball, which measures 19 feet in diameter and more than 59 feet in circumference, was constructed to highlight Nissan's Safety Shield technology featured on the Nissan Note, its popular small family car.

Nicknamed the "CarZorb," the colossal structure was successfully rolled down a course of steep hills in a two minute film released today.

Chrysler debuts 'Ready to Take on the World' ad campaign for Chrysler 200

(October 27, 2014) AUBURN HILLS, Mich. — The Chrysler brand debuted its unique "Ready to Take on the World" advertising campaign for the all-new 2015 Chrysler 200 this weekend. The integrated campaign launched with three 30-second commercials running across television (national broadcast and cable) and online over the weekend. A fourth 30-second spot will debut in November. The campaign also includes print, digital and social extensions.
