Hyundai dealers sell more than cars — Like one million tires since 2011

(September 22, 2014) FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif. — Hyundai Motor America and its dealers announced last week that the Hyundai Authorized Tire Center Program has resulted in more than one million tires sold. Using an average of three tires per transaction, means Hyundai and its dealers put 333,000 safer vehicles on the road with those one million tires.

Chrysler debuts “Miggy at the Bat” advertising campaign

(September 22, 2014)  AUBURN HILLS, Mich. — The Chrysler brand has debuted three on-air new spots as part of its new advertising campaign celebrating the launch of the all-new 2015 Chrysler 200. The on-air campaign, featuring baseball MVP Miguel Cabrera, takes its cue from the iconic poem “Casey at the Bat” by Ernest Thayer. The campaign launched in the U.S. this past weekend.
 

Ford offers its surveillance technology to encourage expanded adoption

(September 22, 2014) DEARBORN, Mich. — Ford is announcing the availability of its multi-patent-pending surveillance mode technology to other vehicle manufacturers and for use in military applications. Award-winning surveillance mode — available on Ford Police Interceptor — was developed to warn law enforcement officers of unexpected approaches from behind the vehicle.

It is being made available by Ford and through InterMotive Inc. to expand adoption of the system to help protect law enforcement officers and military personnel around the globe.

BMW opens new vehicle distribution center in Baltimore

(September 21, 2014) WOODCLIFF LAKE, N.J. —  BMW Group last week celebrated the official opening of its newest Vehicle Distribution Center at the Port of Baltimore. The facility will serve 96 dealers within the Central and Eastern regions of BMW’s dealer network.

“BMW Group year-to-date sales in the U.S. set a new benchmark, topping 246,000 vehicles in the first eight months of this year, and we are full of confidence that we will follow our success through the remaining months of 2014,” said Ludwig Willisch, president and CEO, BMW of North America.
