Subaru only manufacturer with IIHS top safety picks four years running

(December 22, 2012) — Subaru says that the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) has recognized Subaru as the only automaker earning a 2013 op Safety Pick award for every model it builds. This is the fourth consecutive year Subaru has earned this distinction.

New for 2013, Subaru's Legacy and Outback models (built after August 2012) have also won the brand new Top Safety Pick+ accolade.

Lexus passes half million mark in global hybrid sales

Cadillac ATS has unique PAL for spirited driving

Performance Algorithm Liftfoot, or PAL, detects when the driver demands more performance from the vehicle while taking a curve and automatically drops the transmission to a lower gear to improve acceleration out of the corner.

GM recalling 145,628 trucks over missing hood latch

(December 20, 2012) DETROIT — General Motors is recalling 145,628 mid-sized pickup trucks globally over a missing hood latch that could result in the hood opening unexpectedly. Of the Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon pickups affected by the recall, 118,800 are in the United States, 15,264 are in Canada, 7,492 are in Mexico and the rest are exports, GM said today.

Nissan's Brazil unit shows record sales for 2012

(December 20, 2012) SAO PAULO, BRAZIL — Nissan do Brasil has announced a record of 100,000 units sold in one year. The previous record was set in 2011 when it sold 67,280 units while also recording the largest increase in sales.

With six days left until the end of the year, NBA has already benefited from an increase of 49% compared to the previous year.
