Ford appoints Fields COO putting him in line to succeed Mulally

Chrysler reports 31st consecutive month of sales growth

(November 1, 2012) AUBURN HILLS, Mich. — Chrysler today reported U.S. sales of 126,185 units, a 10 percent increase compared with sales in October 2011, and the group’s best October sales since 2007. The Chrysler, Dodge, Ram Truck and Fiat brands each posted year-over-year sales gains in October compared with the same month a year ago.

Toyota donates $1 million to support Hurricane Sandy relief efforts

(November 1, 2012) NEW YORK — Toyota has announced a $1 million contribution to the American Red Cross and other nonprofit organizations to support relief efforts for victims of Hurricane Sandy in the regions worst-hit by the storm.

In addition, Toyota will match employee contributions to the American Red Cross and other non-profits doing relief and recovery work in affected communities.

Honda marks 30 years of building cars in U.S.

(November 1, 2012) MARYSVILLE, Ohio — Honda today marked its 30th anniversary of U.S. auto production by reaching cumulative investments of more than $1.2 billion in U.S. manufacturing operations in the last two years, including the announcement today of more than $200 million in new investments in its Russells Point, Ohio, transmission plant and Anna, Ohio, engine plant, which will add 200 new manufacturing jobs.
