Nissan has record June sales in Brazil

(July 7, 2012) June was a historic month for Nissan do Brasil with record June sales of 13,275 units. In a strong market where industry sales increased 19% versus June 2011, Nissan do Brasil had very strong sales results with sales 163% higher than from June 2011, with a market share of 3.9%.

TrueCar, Yahoo end exclusive partnership

(July 6, 2012) Automotive News reports that TrueCar Inc., an online car-shopping service, has ended after just six months its exclusive relationship with search engine Yahoo to send auto shoppers to auto dealerships. Yahoo Autos plans to keep TrueCar and sign other sales-lead generators, Yahoo confirmed in a statement.

Chrysler finds success in Canada, too

(July 6, 2012) WINDSOR, Ontario — Chrysler Canada has announced the company’s 31st consecutive month of year-over-year sales growth, representing the longest sales streak in the company’s Canadian history. June sales were 23,705 compared with 23,576 in June 2011, representing a 1 per cent increase.

Calendar-year-to date, Chrysler has sold 130,286 vehicles in Canada, representing a 7 per cent increase over the same period in 2011.

Ford Fiesta best-selling car in UK

(July 5, 2012) BRENTWOOD, Essex — Ford has extended its UK market leadership with increased car sales and share for the first six months of 2012, compared with the same period in 2011, Ford reported today.

Ford car sales were up 3.6 per cent for the first half of 2012, compared with 2011, while the car market as a whole was up 2.7 per cent, according to the official figures released today from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT).
