Production at Ford's Dagenham plant reaches 40 million

(July 11, 2012) LONDON — Consistently high output at Ford Dagenham over the last 50 years has propelled production at the East London engine site past the milestone of 40 million engines — enough to stretch 20,000 miles, or four fifths of the way around the globe, when placed end to end.

Volkswagen sees car sales rise more than 10 percent worldwide

(July 10, 2012) WOLFSBURG —  The Volkswagen Cars brand sold 2.79 million vehicles to customers worldwide in the first half of this year, up 10.2 percent from the same time in 2011. The brand also announced an increase for June, when it delivered 498,600 compared to 438,400 in 2011, a 13.7 per cent increase.

Hyundai shows continued growth in UK

(July 8, 2012) Hyundai UK has continued its growth in June selling 7,362 vehicles — the highest ever June sales for the company — and securing a 3.88% market share.  This new high represented a 38.5% increase over June last year, and contributed to a rise in sales of 11.38% in the first-half of this year versus 201.  35,168 units have been sold year to date which equates to an improved market share of 3.33%.
