Not for sale in the U.S. — Suzuki Swift Sport hits UK market in January

(December 15, 2011) Despite the on-again, off-again rumors about its appearance in the United States, the Suzuki Swift remains just a dream in North America. And with the addition of a Sport edition for 2012, it's really a shame.

The Swift Sport was first previewed by the S-Concept that debuted earlier this year in Geneva, and was shown in its current form at the Frankfurt show this fall.

The Snake returns to Chrysler Group’s Conner Avenue Assembly Plant

(December 15, 2011) AUBURN HILLS, Mich. - Chrysler has announced that it will reopen its Conner Avenue Assembly Plant in Detroit for the production of the next generation SRT Viper. With the plant’s reopening, nearly 150 jobs, both hourly and salaried, will return to Detroit.

The Conner facility was idled when production of the Dodge Viper ended in July 2010.

Mitsubishi to produce plant-based floor mats

(December 14, 2011) TOKYO — Mitsubishi Motors, working with EIDAIKAKO Co., Ltd., MRC Pylen Co., Ltd. and Toyota Tsusho Corporation, has developed a new floor mat made using plant-based bio-polyethylene (bio-PE) fibre to add to its lineup of proprietary plant-based "Green Plastic" products.

The company plans to start production of the new floor mats in the summer of 2012.

Chevrolet Cruze goes 'shields up' for max protection

Ford employees help with launch of new MyFord Touch

GM reports November sales record in China

(December 13, 2011) SHANGHAI — General Motors and its joint ventures in China reported a 20.4 percent increase in domestic sales to post a November record of 237,130 vehicles delivered. It was the third-best sales month of 2011.

Demand remained strong for Shanghai GM’s lineup of passenger cars, as the joint venture experienced a rise in domestic demand of 7.6 percent to 113,120 units.

Honda Accord Coupe concept to reveal profile of all-new 2013 Accord
