Corvette performance tweaked for 2012

(MAY 2, 2011) DETROIT — Chevrolet has announced that it will once again elevate Corvette’s performance capabilities with a series of improvements for the 2012 model year that improve on-track performance and on-road comfort.

They include enhancements to the high-performance Z06 and ZR1 models as well as interior upgrades across the Corvette lineup.

Chevrolet will build and sell new Malibu in South Korea

(May 1, 2011) Fresh off the global debut of the all-new Chevrolet Malibu at the New York and Shanghai auto shows, Chevrolet today announced it will build and sell the mid-sized sedan in South Korea.

Malibu, Chevrolet’s first midsize sedan to be sold globally, was named last week as the Most Eye-Catching Car at Auto Shanghai 2011. It will be sold in nearly 100 markets on six continents.

Infiniti entering Chile auto market

(May 1, 2011) Infiniti has announced that it will launch the brand into Chile in the first half of 2012. The announcement supports Infiniti’s intent to expand into additional luxury markets around the world.

Infiniti had 145,675 worldwide sales in 2010, representing a 30.8 percent growth over the prior year.

Older model Honda CR-V headlights probed

(May 1, 2011) The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has opened a preliminary investigation into nearly 300,000 Honda vehicles over complaints the headlights stopped working.
