QX56, G25 help Infiniti to solid January sales month

(February 4, 2011) Led by the QX56 full-sized SUV and the newest version of the G, the G25, Infiniti reported January sales of 7,405 units, an increase of 10.3 percent versus 6,711 units a year earlier.

Highlights of Infiniti’s sales performance:

    • January marks Infiniti’s twelfth straight month of year-over-year gains of more than ten percent
    • Sales of the Infiniti QX56 full-size luxury SUV rose 17.8 percent, posting seven consecutive months of sales improvement since the new model arrived
    • The Infiniti G Sedan rose 21.2 percent to 3,248 units, lifted by the sales success of the new G25 sports sedan

“Luxury buyers continue to respond very positively to the refreshed Infiniti model line, led by the new Infiniti QX full-size luxury SUV,” said Ben Poore, vice president, Infiniti Business Unit. “Last year Infiniti was one of the fastest growing luxury automotive brands in America, setting the stage for the spring launch of the Infiniti M Hybrid, the only car with more than 350 horsepower and 30 miles per gallon highway fuel economy.”

The Infiniti M Hybrid will be among the featured models as part of Infiniti’s recently announced partnership with the NCAA, CBS Sports and Turner Sports. Infiniti will run a multi-media campaign during regular-season men’s basketball games and the newly expanded, 68-team 2011 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship.
